The Three Rules That Truly Matter<\/h2>\n

Wash as Little as Possible<\/h3>\n
Merino wool has a natural ability to repel odors and dirt: it does not need to be washed after every wear. In most cases, a few hours in fresh air, away from direct sunlight, are enough to restore freshness to the garment. Fewer washes mean intact fibers for longer.<\/div>\n

Never Hang Knitwear<\/h3>\n
This is the most common mistake and the hardest to correct. A knitted garment hung on a hanger sags under its own weight: the shoulders deform and the garment permanently loses its shape. Knitwear should always be folded and stored flat, on a shelf or in a drawer.<\/div>\n

Let the Garment Rest<\/h3>\n
Natural fibers have elastic memory: after being worn, they need time to return to their original shape. Allow at least twenty-four hours between wears, laying the garment flat. This simple practice extends the life of the garment more than any treatment.<\/div>\n

How to Wash Morgano Garments<\/h2>\n
All our garments are designed for hand washing. This is the method that respects the structure of the knit and the fineness of the fiber, and the only one we recommend.<\/div>\n

    Fill a basin with cold water and a detergent specifically formulated for delicate garments.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n

    Immerse the garment and let it soak for a few minutes, without rubbing or twisting.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n
  • \n
    Move it gently in the water, pressing with open hands.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n
  • \n
    Rinse in clean water at the same temperature, until no trace of detergent remains.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n
  • \n
    Press the garment between your hands to remove excess water, never wringing it.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n
  • \n
    Wrap it in a dry towel and press to absorb residual moisture.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
    Always refer to the label sewn into the garment: it is the correct reference for that specific article.<\/div>\n

    Additional Care by Fiber Type<\/h2>\n

    100% Extrafine Merino<\/h3>\n
    Extrafine merino is a lustrous and resilient fiber, with a fine thread that makes it pleasant against the skin and suitable even for mid-season wear. It is the most forgiving of the three lines, but it remains a pure wool garment: cold water, no twisting, flat drying.<\/div>\n

    Merino & Cashmere<\/h3>\n
    Cashmere introduces a shorter and softer fiber, which requires greater delicacy during washing. The substantial structure holds its shape well, but it must still be dried flat and never hung when wet, as the weight of the water can deform it.<\/div>\n

    Merino and Silk<\/h3>\n
    Silk introduces a natural luster but also a more delicate fiber, which requires even gentler washing: never wring, even lightly\u2014simply press out excess water. Dry the garment away from direct light, which over time can dull the characteristic brilliance of silk.<\/div>\n

    Pilling Is Not a Defect<\/h2>\n
    With use, small fiber balls may appear on the surface of the garment: this is called pilling and is a natural behavior of fine fibers, not a sign of poor quality. Shorter fibers emerge at points of greatest friction\u2014under the arms, on the hips, where the garment rubs against bags or belts\u2014especially in the first weeks of wear. The phenomenon naturally diminishes over time.To remove it, simply use a cashmere comb, passed gently in the direction of the knit, or a fabric shaver on low speed. Nothing more is needed, and it is not a procedure that damages the garment.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

    Drying<\/h2>\n
    Never use a tumble dryer, and do not dry the garment near radiators or in direct sunlight: heat dries out natural fibers and can shrink them permanently.Lay the garment flat on a clean towel, shaping it to its original form with your hands. Let it dry away from heat sources, turning it halfway through drying if the thickness requires.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

    Storage<\/h2>\n
    Store garments folded, never hung\u2014we repeat this because it is the most common mistake. A cotton bag or a breathable box protects the fiber better than a plastic bag, which traps moisture.To naturally repel moths, use cedar balls or lavender sachets: avoid mothballs, which wool tends to absorb, retaining the odor.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
